Teodora Enache and Lars Danielsson, special concert in Central Park

The Jazz in the Park organisers are making jazz lovers’ dreams come true through one extraordinary concert: Teodora Enache and Lars Danielsson will play together on stage in Central Park Friday, the 4th of July, from 20:30, no ticket needed.

With a musical career of over 20 years, Teodora Enache is one of the biggest names of Romanian jazz. She has played for every important jazz festival in the country and has brought, through every concert, her wonderful music to many countries, some of which are Italy, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Hungary and the USA. She has worked with Johnny Răducanu, Stanley Jordan, Les Paul, Teodosii Spasov, Liviu Butoi, Darius Burbeck, Balasz Berkes and many other esteemed artists and her 11 albums embody the true essence of her musical soul. Her last project, Aisha, was launched in 2011 and it is a representation of a way to self rediscovery.

Lars Danielsson is a Swedish musician that can, without a doubt, work magic on a contrabass, as a conductor and as a composer. He studied at the Conservatory of Gotteburg and in 1985 he formed the Lars Danielsson quartet, which to this day has Dave Liebman on sax, Bobo Stenson at the piano and Jon Christensen playing the drums. Together, they have launched 8 albums. He has chosen collaborative work for many of his musical projects. John Scofield, Jack DeJohnette, Mike Stern, Billy Hart, Charles Loyd, Terri Lyne Carrington, Leszek Mozdzer, Joey Calderazzo, Gino Vannelli and Dave Kikoski are just some of the artists he has worked with.
